Burt is the Founder and Owner of Animas Drone Services LLC. As an FAA Part 107 Licensed pilot with a decade of experience in Software Engineering, he brings a highly technical, data-centric approach to the commercial drone industry. This extensive background in tech ensures that all aerial operations are executed with precision, focusing on reliable data capture and seamless project delivery. A Tucson native, Burt relocated to Durango from Cincinnati in 2024 to re-establish roots in the Southwest.

Dietrich has 15 years of experience as a GIS specialist delivering mapping, spatial analysis, and geodatabase solutions for environmental and resource-management projects across the western United States. His work has supported military, federal, state, and local agencies in meeting geospatial program objectives and compliance requirements. His focus has shifted to UAS-based data collection using NDAA-compliant aircraft and advanced sensors, including LiDAR, thermal, and multispectral, turning complex datasets into accurate deliverables for clients and industry partners.
